Description:

Kale Green Siberian Leaf heirloom vegetable from the late 1800’s. Produces a whole lot of flat grey green leaves with a central white stem. Leaves turn rich dark green when cooked. Soft tender texture when braised or for salads. Kale is vitamin rich and very winter hardy.

Sow seeds directly outdoors 1 cm (1/2″) deep in early spring or from June to early July in rows 60 cm (24″) apart. Thin seedlings to 30 cm (12″) apart. Kale is very cold tolerant and develops its best flavour after the fall frosts.
